When we picked up Patrick from SEAACA shelter in Southern California just an hour before his scheduled euthanasia, he was in a pretty bad shape needing immediate medical care. We did everything necessary to help him. Please donate or share! The fundraiser has all the details of where the amount was spent.

We are a small team of friends rescuing huskies & super mutts from places where they are less likely to be adopted, and find committed & passionate adopters in the Pacific Northwest! My teammate Balram is located in Vancouver, Canada and me (Chanchal) in Seattle, USA.
Even though we can’t help every dog, it’s so rewarding to see the very few dogs we help, flourishing in loving homes 🥰
If you’d like to support our mission, you can share our adoptable dogs with serious adopters, follow us on social media, and donate when we run fundraisers.
We are working on registering as an official 501c3 charity.
Adoption process usually involves virtual and in person meet & greet, application form, reference checks, and an adoption contract. Please note adoption isn’t confirmed until a contract is signed, even if all of these steps checks out.
We charge an adoption fee of USD 350-400 (CAD 450-600) to make sure they go to good homes.
The fees will be used to pay towards some of their expenses. To name a few for dogs coming from Lebanon - international flight, titer tests and CDC facility & boarding fees, other expenses after arriving here, such as local transportation, foster care and veterinary checkup, additional vaccinations. We also sponsor boarding, medical care for some dogs while they are in Lebanon waiting for their turn to travel.
And for dogs from Cali kill shelters in the US - we cover spay/neuter for dogs who aren’t neutered by the shelter, any boarding fees in LA, food, grooming, road transport and anything volunteers need help with.
All our dogs are seen by a local veterinarian and either fecal tests done or put on monthly dewormer before adopted out. The expenses we take on to help a single dog typically ranges anywhere from $1000-$3000, huge variables being means of transport and extra medical care.
Each of the dogs we choose to help are so precious to us! We also stay friends with all our adopters and meet up every once in a while. We benefit nothing more than the rewarding experience of getting a beautiful pup to a well deserving forever family and watch them live the best life!☺
From Chanchal, founder of the rescue:
Snowy, my heart dog, is the first dog I ever fell in love with. His independent, wanderlust personality perfectly matched mine. Raising him from puppyhood, I learned a lot about the stubborn, wild side of the huskies. He inspired me to adopt our second husky Bilbo.
They are the reason I love the huskies so much, I want to help the unfortunate abandoned ones and it finally led to starting a rescue.
It was in 2020, I came across a husky mix Ghost on social media, who was living at a shelter in Lebanon. He was a white husky like my Snowy and I desperately wanted to help him. My husband Bobby & I planned his trip to California, sponsored most of the expenses to fly him on cargo, Bobby made a road trip to LA to pick him up and bring to Washington. He was also our first foster! We got him examined by a vet here, which includes extra vaccines and treating for parasites, to get him ready for his forever home. I had no clue how to run a rescue at that time. I got help from Big Dog Rescue here in Washington to post his profile and do the adoption process.
After Ghost was adopted, I learned to do adoptions and thus PawesomeBaby rescue was formed.
Then one day, I met Balram who shared the same passion to help the huskies, and in 2021 we started doing adoptions in British Columbia.
“These two motivate me to help more huskies like them!”- Chanchal, mom to two huskies & a boy. Founded PawesomeBaby to share my love for the huskies
Balram, a foster dad, founder of our Canada wing, co-ordinates British Columbia adoptions
Andrea, foster mom, Foster Coordinator & member of British Columbia adoption team
Niki, mom to 3 doggos (Chanel featured here), 2 parrots and a bunny. Member of Washington adoption team
